RELOADING CHARISMA SYSTEMS
Charisma Development has simplified the installation/re-installation of Charisma.
They have incorporated it into a single tape.
The following provides instructions of how to reload a Charisma site once all the system configurations have been completed.

Loading Instructions
To reload a Charisma tape:-
a) Login as root. At the # prompt enter
#cd /charisma1 <CR> |
#tar xvof [device name] <CR> |
for example
#tar xvof /dev/rmt/ctape1 <CR> |
The system will copy the loader code onto the disk
b) To initiate the reload enter
# ./loader <CR> |
The system will display the BML copyright banner and prompt:-
Enter "C" <CR> |
Enter C <CR> |
Available tape devices are displayed followed by a list of tape device names found on the system.
At "Please type in device name" enter
cOsO (SCO) or ctapeX (SVR4) <CR> |
Enter the number that corresponds to your device. |
NOTE:
On SVR4 ignore the c100tXdOsOn because the software disregards characters greater than 8.
This method of tape selection may change in the future
The program then loads down the next sequence of files followed by a screen that displays the Licence info i.e.

Press <CR>
The next step is to provide passwords for both bml and bmltest users. Use bml8000 for both.
Press <CR>
The next step asks you to set the root password. Use system for SVR4 or sysbml for SCO.
Press <CR>
The software then proceeds through various other phases. You will be prompted for a

The program displays a message showing that it has finished and returns you to the command prompt.

At login enter bml followed by the password.
