REASON FOR CHANGE: FUNCTION KEY PROBLEMS WITH CHARISMA

Introduction

  1. There have been problems using function keys with charisma.

  2. When using a vdu with charisma, q term is used to determine the type of vdu; charisma then uses cob term info to interpret the function keys and utilises the specific default setting of that vdu's function keys; within the charisma programmes.

  3. If the default settings have been changed at all, then the charisma programmes will not operate correctly.

  4. With some vdu's it is possible to only default the function keys. In others, all the vdu set up values will be defaulted. In this case a note of any required settings should be made first and these values should be re-entered after defaulting.
