1. The tricom minimux is an 8 channel point to point statistical multiplexer.
2. It is beige in colour with a sloping front with an LCD display on the left and two
push button switches on the
right.

4. Viewed from the rear the ports are numbered from left to right beginning with the bottom layer A1, A2, A3 etc.
The second layer up is numbered B1, B2, B3 etc.
The composite port is always a1.
5. The multiplexer can be set up using a vdu on any async port (not a1) and accessing
the command mode. The
command mode is the equivalent to the gandalf
console.
6. Command mode conventions
6.1. local -the end of the link where you are.
Remote -the other end of the link.
Node -name of node if used ie lin.
Node id -3 fig number. 100, 200 etc.
Force connect-equivalent to gandalf permanent channel.
For menu with options, existing option selected is shown at the top.
6.2. access command mode
