REVISED UNIVISION SETUP OF CHARISMA SYSTEMS

  1. INTRODUCTION

    2. This revised setup procedure applies to all Unix SVR4 03.02 systems which have Charisma version 7 and Univision version 7 on them. All systems now leaving production will be set up this way, and existing systems are to be set this way when reloading Univision.

  2. The slice size for /Unistore1 must be set to 100MB.

  3. After installing Univision into this slice add another 10MB of store.

  4. All screens must be configured to a mode of VT100, and the port to Term type J.

    5.  

  5. All printers that are assigned for Charisma, eg LPO1, must also be dually assigned under Univision with the name appended to the UV reference eg UVLPO1.

    6.  

  6. A Charisma Link Account Base Tape will also be sent to the site either with the new system, or at later date.

    7.  

  7. The Univision and Charisma logins must be set within the same Unix primary group (sysadm setting) this is usually within BML.
