CLASS OF CHANGE: INFORMATIONAL
REASON FOR CHANGE: TO INTRODUCE A NEW DIAL UP DIAGNOSTIC MODEM
  1. Introduction
  2. The US Robotics Sportster Flash Modem is the new dial up diagnostic modem to be supplied with all systems: it replaces all previous dial up diagnostic modems. It may also be called a 3 com sportster modem.

  3. Appearance
  4. It is dark grey in colour and measures approx 6 x 4.5 x 1.5 inches. There is an external power supply mounted in the 13 amp plug. It can lay flat or has a foot to be mounted vertically.

At the rear there are left to right, a 25 pin D type connector for data, a connector for a speaker, an RJ45 connector to the analogue PSTN phone line, an RJ45 connector for a phone and a dc connector for the power.

Its speed is from 300 to 33.6k. The EDP specification is shown in Para 4.
