	REASON FOR CHANGE:	INTRODUCTION OF A NEW MEMORY BOARD

1.Introduction

    NCR have introduced a new style memory baseboard on the NCR 4300 for simms (the co
    board).

2.Change

2.1 The new style board whilst giving greater performance will only support matched pairs
      of simms.

2.2 The systems will now not configure:-

    1 x f1xx or

    1 x f104 & 1 x f105

    E.g. 1 x f109 is 128MB and gives a maximum capacity of 1.5GB with the old board.

    This will change to 2 x f105 which is 128MB and gives a maximum capacity of 512MB
    with the new board.

3. Care should be taken when configuring memory upgrades.

    Refer to `in touch' for advice.

4. The new style board is regconisable by:-

    * being annotated c0 (c zero). It is not known where yet.
