1. The tricom tempest quad is an asynchronous dial up modem.
2. The unit is light grey in colour with a darker grey sloping front panel which has 7
led indicators and a push
button.
3. Before use, the unit must be power cycled, switched on, then off, then on again and
left to refresh the charge
cell used in place of a battery. This cell only
has about 2 weeks life when disconnected from the mains.

The modem has v22bis, v22, v23, v21, v42, v42bis and mnps.
