CLASS OF CHANGE: | MANDATORY | |
REASON FOR CHANGE: | TO UPGRADE SYSTEM FIRMWARE LEVELS TO VERSION 2.01.01.2 |
Change
The service centre manager is to arrange for all 34xx and 35xx systems to be checked to establish current firmware revisions. This can be done using 'prtconf'.
If the systems are at a lower level than 2.01.01.2 then downtime is to be arranged to schedule a flash firmware upgrade.
The upgrade takes approximately 30 minutes plus any reboot time. The upgrade should be scheduled after a full filesave and at a time when a full reload could be performed if the upgrade catastrophically fails.
Pre-update
1. Ensure that the flash firmware diskette(s) exists for the current firmware revision.
2. Check the current reference diskette is available.
3. Check the upgrade kit consists of 4 x floppies:
A) 2 x firmware upgraded diskettes 1 and 2.
B) 2 x reference diskettes; site master and working copy.
4. Ensure the media set is complete and
the on site document is, in all respects,
correct.
