FECO 3000 # 40

FECO: 3000 #40
MODIFICATION No: 3000/2
PRODUCT: NCR 3430
SUB-ASSEMBLY SCSI DAUGHTER CARD
ESTIMATED MAN HOURS N/A
CLASS OF CHANGE: INFORMATIONAL
REASON FOR CHANGE: HEX STAND OFF WRONG LENGTH

Reason for change

1.         The length of the hex standoff, used to secure the single-ended and differential SCSI daughter cards
to the SCSI host adapter on the baseboard is too long. This causes improper seating of the pga
socket to the SCSI host adaptor. The modification replaces the standoff with a shorter version which
             fixes this problem.

2.          A modification kit is required and must be obtained through the service centre manager.

Fro kit 603-5006525 contains the following:

   Quantity part number descrition

   2 150-0019580 standoff-hex

   2 097-0414764 screw-self locking, m3 x 5

   Authority for ordering 15-fro-0184
