1. Reason for change
The mylex dac960pl pci array adapter, when ordered as a kit and
inserted in one of the
pci slots, must have the eeprom flashed with version 2.39 firmware or
later to run
mp-ras unix release 3.00.02 (gca 3/19/96). When using an earlier
version of the
firmware, scsi bus resets will occur when trying to load unix.
2. Change
To determine the version of frimware, the following information will
be displayed on the
screen during post (power on system test):
Old version:
Dac960 bios version 1.03 0 24 jan 95
Dac960 firmware version 2.26
Dac960 memory = xx mbytes (dram)
New version:
Dac960p bios version 1.29 - 21 dec 95
Mylex corporation
Dac906 firmware version 2.39
Dac960 memory xx mbytes (dram)
3. The new version firmware can be obtained from

4. Explanation: engineering has provided version 2.39 firmware via the columbia
bulletin
board. You can access the columbia bbs using the following methods:
