1.     Change

WYSE have changed the WYSE-55-es by adding a parallel port to it. In all other respects it looks identical to it's predecessor. The same keyboard can be used for either version.

The new back panel is shown below.

This feco highlights the differences between the models to those listed in the original feco WYSE # 6/1.

4.     cut-in

The cut in point for the WYSE-55-esp was april 1995 And is identifiable by having a serial number beginning "ox31". All existing mec descriptions are being changed to be correct. The WYSE part number is also changed to 901237-16.

5.     Servicing

Complete WYSE-55-esp's in external customers must only be permanently swapped out on a like for like basis.

6.     Spares

The internal PCB is different so must only be changed on a like for like basis.

The internal differences are:-

* different components on PCB

* parallel port connected via ribbon cable to PCB.

* eprom - 95 rev 1.7 251352-08.

* transformer not foil wrapped.
