1. INTRODUCTION
 

 

MopUPS version 1.2 is power fail recovery UPS software

INSTALLATION

MopUPS comes on a diskette
2.2 Load the diskette by :

Carry out test of Powerfail Recovery
10.1
Ensure that MopUPS is installed on the system, and that the UPS is powering the system, and the data cable is connected between the UPS and the system.
10.2
Remove the mains input to the UPS
10.3 MopUPS is invoked and will begin to shut the system down. Messages will be displayed :

Notify users
Memory dump slices 0, 1, 2, 3
Shutting down

The system will completely shut down

Replace the mains input to the UPS

When system restarts, messages appear detailing the system boot, the restoration of slices 0, 1, 2, 3 and running up in UNIX
10.7 Ensure the system returns to the point where it was prior to the mains failure.
